How does Bit-Chat stay ahead of market trends and competitor moves?
We are a very small team knowing the exact pain points and being up to date with the latest innovation on Bitcoin.
What’s on Bit-Chat’s product roadmap that you’re most excited about?
We are launching Bitcoin via messenger so you can buy, sell and send Bitcoin via messenger without needing to download an extra app. This allows our users to easily access Bitcoin and get their hands dirty as easily as technically possible. At the same time we also enable AI agents to use Bitcoin via our service. I have already implemented the interfaces in form of WhatsApp, email, Telegram and Signal, which most AI agents can use. Additionally, we give AI agents the possibility to create an email account, which is specifically made for using BitChat. The admin can top up the Bitcoin wallet of the agent and the agent can easily pay anyone in the world who has a phone number, chat, messenger, email address or whatever and pay this person.
What key metrics or milestones is Bit-Chat most proud of achieving?
Being alive. If having done multiple Bitcoin transactions of buying and selling Bitcoin, requesting Bitcoin, creating email accounts for multiple AI agents.
Describe a moment when user feedback completely changed Bit-Chat’s product direction.
The moment when we completely changed our direction was in the very beginning when the first user feedback basically told us what we did wrong which is change completely your user experience to an as simple solution as possible. Back then our plan was to let people buy bitcoin physically with cash on a cashiers register. We thought that would be an easy solution to onboard as many people as possible, but enabling to buy Bitcoin just via writing a text message is even simpler and enables so many more use cases.
What does Bit-Chat’s ideal customer look like, and how do you reach them?
Our ideal customer is basically anyone who has or wants to own Bitcoin. And we try to reach them right now with mouth-to-mouth propaganda as we aim to be the simplest solution and the most honest company out there. We know that there are a lot of shillers and folks who want to get people just buy anything with their platform like offering them shitcoins and so on and confusing them them but as we are Bitcoin maximalists we deal with our customers as if they would be our own family members trying to help them on board on bitcoin.
What’s the biggest technical or business challenge Bit-Chat has overcome?
The biggest technical challenge Bitcoin has overcome is making it as simple as technically possible while avoiding vibe-coding and instead coding everything by hand to avoid errors. Keeping in mind all these edge cases that could occur in transactions is actually a very hard thing and we have in our opinion solved all these cases now and are comfortable to launch.
How does Bit-Chat approach enterprise sales, and what’s your typical sales cycle?
We are thinking about enterprise sales by offering companies like banks an easy way to onboard their customers to Bitcoin. We are in the starting phase regarding that. Our sales cycle can be as short as 2-3 weeks to start with a customer and get his users onboarded.
How has Bit-Chat evolved since launch based on user feedback?
The interaction with our bot who the users is talking to got changed a lot. And as we have expected that the user will use bit chat in certain ways, for example writing longer sentences. Instead, the replies of users were just very short and demanded context. So we have implemented text messenger context so the bot knows what the user was talking about two days before to provide a more human-like conversation.
Walk us through Bit-Chat’s product – what makes it unique in the market?
The uniqueness of BitChat in the current Bitcoin market, is that you don’t need to understand Bitcoin anymore. You don’t need to download an extra app anymore. Instead you use the app services you already use like WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, or email. By that the user can just write messages. We convert these messages into actions, buy, sell, send bitcoin. We tell him exactly what he needs to do and automatically create a wallet for him. The user user has an absolutely smooth transition from his known way of using money into bitcoin as an alternative where he learns the ways like self-custody, not in the beginning but as soon as he has a significant amount of Bitcoin, which doesn’t overwhelm him but rather teaches him in baby steps.
What’s Bit-Chat’s retention strategy, and what metrics matter most to you?
We try to become the all-in-one platform, where the user can not only buy and sell and send Bitcoin but also pay in Bitcoin online and also in the physical world instead of using MasterCard and Visa. For that we will reach out to big corporations, similar as Venmo did.
